Load ports Agadir, Casablanca, and Tanger Med
Roughly December to March out of the Loukkos, around Larache and Moulay Bousselham, peaking in February. It opens ahead of the Moroccan blueberry window in the same region and closes as that one is getting going, which is how the same growers run both.
Very little of it is a container programme. Fresh fruit crosses to Europe by truck through Tanger Med, and what does travel refrigerated over distance is frozen fruit for processors — the same split the Spanish and Egyptian rows have. The other thing to know is that the area is shrinking: growers in the Loukkos have been moving land out of strawberries and into blueberries and raspberries after several difficult campaigns, so the volume behind this window is smaller each year even where the calendar is not.
