Mexico is the origin where the calendar matters least and the routing matters most. Avocados and limes ship close to year-round rather than in a season, so the question an importer is really asking is not “is it available” but “which window is cheap, and which is the one everybody else is buying in too”.

It is also the origin where most volume never touches a container. The overwhelming share of Mexican produce reaches the United States by truck across the land border; what leaves by sea is the volume going to Europe, Japan and increasingly China, out of Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas on the Pacific side and Veracruz on the Gulf. Year-round, peaking through the Northern Hemisphere summer when the trees produce most and demand is highest at the same time.

Mango

March–July peak · February, August shoulder Varieties: Ataulfo, Kent, Tommy Atkins

Roughly March to July, moving north through the growing regions as the season progresses: Chiapas and Oaxaca first, Sinaloa last. Ataulfo is the variety Mexico is known for, and Tommy Atkins and Kent carry most of the export volume.
