Goal

Keep your own Trackberry account under control: how you sign in, which email address it uses, which phones are signed in, and how to delete it.

Everything on this page lives in User Settings. Open it from the menu under your avatar, top right. These settings belong to you, not to an organization, so any role can use them. For roles and team access, see Managing Your Team. For how we protect your data, see Security & Data Protection.

Signing in

Trackberry has no passwords. Enter your email address on the sign-in page and we email you a sign-in link. The link works for 20 minutes. If it has expired, request a new one from the same page.

You can ask for a link up to 5 times in 15 minutes for the same address. After that the sign-in page shows “Too many requests for this address, try again later.” Wait a few minutes, then check your inbox and spam folder before asking again: the earlier links may already be there.

Trackberry is invite-only. An address with no account can sign in only once it has an invitation or an approved access request. Otherwise the sign-in page asks you to request an invitation.

Changing your email address

Your email address is how you sign in, so a change only takes effect once the new address is confirmed.

  1. In User Settings, find the Email address card.
  2. Type the new address and click Update email.
  3. We send a confirmation link to the new address. The card shows Pending confirmation with the new address until you confirm it.
  4. Open the link within 24 hours, while signed in to this same account, and click Confirm this email address.

If you open the link while signed in as a different account, Trackberry shows Different account signed in. Sign out, sign in as the account that asked for the change, and open the link again.

When the change goes through, we email your old address to say it changed. If you didn’t make the change, that email tells you to contact support@trackberry.com right away. Confirming also signs your account out of every other browser and every phone, so sign in again there with the new address.

Changed your mind? Click Cancel next to the pending address. The link we sent stops working. You can request up to 5 changes an hour.

Signed-in devices

The Signed-in devices card lists the phones and tablets signed in to the Trackberry app. Click Manage devices… to open the list.

Each row names the device, for example “Pixel 7 · Android 14”. It shows when the device was last used and when it first signed in. The device you are reading on is marked This device, and a device that gets push notifications says receiving notifications.

  • Sign out next to a device signs it out immediately. It stops receiving notifications and needs a new sign-in link. Use this for a lost or replaced phone.
  • Sign out all devices signs out every device at once. It also signs out any browser that stayed signed in.

An app sign-in expires by itself after 90 days without use. You can have at most 10 devices signed in. When an 11th signs in, the one used least recently is signed out.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, from the app or from a public page.

From User Settings. Scroll to Delete account and click Delete account…. The page lists what will happen to each of your organizations. Type your email address to confirm, then click Delete my account permanently. This can’t be undone.

Without signing in. Go to trackberry.com/delete-account, enter your email address and click Email me a confirmation link. The link works for 30 minutes. It opens the same confirmation page as above. The page answers the same way whether or not an account exists for that address.

What happens to your data depends on who else uses each organization:

  • Your account. Your name, email address, notification settings and signed-in apps are deleted.
  • Organizations you share with others. You are removed. Their shipments and documents stay with the organization.
  • Organizations where you are the only member. The organization is deleted with all its shipments and documents, and its subscription is canceled immediately. Invoices are kept for accounting.
  • Billing email. If you were an organization’s billing contact, its billing emails go to the organization’s owner instead.

If you are the only owner of an organization that still has other members, you can’t delete your account yet. The page says Hand over ownership first. Use Make owner on another member on the Members page, then come back. See Managing Your Team.
