Quality inspection reports, read for you

An independent inspection report — PPECB, SGS, Bureau Veritas — used to be a PDF nobody opened. Trackberry now reads it and puts the results alongside the rest of your shipment data.

Email the report to your organization’s inbox, drop it on the shipment, or let Trackberry follow the download link some inspection platforms send instead of an attachment (these files run to 30–50 MB). Once processed, an Inspection Report card appears on the shipment.

What gets extracted

• Overall score and impression — most inspectors use a 1–9 scale, and Trackberry also understands a free-text verdict (“Bueno”, “Reject”) in any language when no number is given
• Per-pallet results — score, defects observed, and recommendation for each sampled pallet
• Photos — every photo embedded in the report, tied to the specific pallet it documents where the report numbers them, otherwise to a general gallery
• General remarks — the inspector’s notes, shown in full

Reconciled onto your packing table. When the report numbers its samples with the same pallet codes as your packing list, the score, recommendation, defects and photo columns appear right on the matching pallet rows. Two buttons in the card header let you merge into the packing details or keep the report separate — a personal preference, so switching it doesn’t change what your teammates see.

An A–D quality grade appears as an optional column on the shipments list, the dashboard, and the trading view (at pallet level there, using each pallet’s own result). A is excellent, D is reject. Hover for the numeric score, the inspection company and date, and the full remarks.

Inspection companies often use their own sample numbering instead of your pallet codes. When nothing matches, the packing table simply shows no inspection columns — the full report, photos and all, is still on its own card.

Which inspection companies are supported? #

There is no list to be on. Trackberry reads the report rather than matching a template, so PPECB, SGS, Bureau Veritas and smaller local inspectors all work, in any language.

What if the report numbers pallets differently from my packing list? #

Then no columns are merged onto the packing table, and the report stays on its own card with everything intact. Nothing is guessed onto the wrong pallet — a wrong match is worse than no match.

How do I send a report that arrives as a download link rather than an attachment? #

Forward the email as it is. Trackberry follows the link and fetches the file itself, which is how most inspection platforms deliver reports of 30–50 MB. See Receiving Documents by Email.
