Notifications moved into the app
Shipment emails have been replaced by a proper notification system: a notification centre in the app, with email as an opt-in extra.
The bell in the top bar carries a live unread badge. The dropdown shows your five most recent notifications with the shipment reference, what happened, and how long ago — click one to jump straight to the shipment. Opening a shipment marks its notification read; Mark all read clears the badge in one click.
One notification per shipment. If a shipment changes status, then its ETA moves, then a document arrives, all of it accumulates into a single unread entry instead of three rows. A busy shipment never floods your bell, and the notification you open shows everything that happened.
Two categories, your choice of channels, in Settings → Notifications:
- Alerts — ETA changed, shipment error, urgent inbound email, shipment stalled
- Updates — shipment created, status changed
The full reference is in Notifications.
FAQ
I used to get emails and now I don’t. What changed?
This did. Notifications moved in-app and email became opt-in, so existing accounts were switched to in-app only. Tick the Email box for a category in Settings → Notifications to turn it back on.
Will a busy shipment send me a dozen notifications?
No. Everything that happens to one shipment accumulates into a single unread entry until you open it. The count on the bell is a count of shipments needing your attention, not of events.
