Weekly volumes
Tonnes shipped per week in season 2026-27, against the previous seasons our data covers completely, week for week on the same calendar weeks. The latest weeks are incomplete: the dashed line is an estimate of their total; what is declared so far is shown in grey in the tables.
The last 5 weeks are incomplete: customs declarations keep arriving for about a month after shipment. The cards, tables and rankings cover complete weeks, except where a figure is marked "est."; the chart shows estimates for the latest weeks where they are reliable. Grey figures marked "so far" are what the declarations show so far (with the share expected to be in, when there is an estimate), not a week's total; "est." marks an estimate.
The dashed line is an estimate for the latest weeks. It scales up what the customs declarations show so far by the share of a week's final tonnage that is usually declared by then (measured on the last 26 complete weeks), and is only drawn once about half of the week is usually in. For a product without enough history it comes from the cargo manifests of the vessels that sailed, scaled to the final declared tonnage by a factor calibrated on the past year; that estimate is withheld when the calibration looks implausible (a factor far from the usual range). A week's estimate is never below what is declared so far, and is replaced by the declarations as they arrive. Figures in grey marked "so far" are what the declarations show so far for an incomplete week, not its total.

How we count
- Every line of the definitive export declarations that SUNAT, Peru's customs, publishes each week under tariff line 0804.50.20.00. Frozen and processed goods are under other tariff lines and are not counted.
- Each declaration counts once. SUNAT republishes a declaration when it is amended; the latest version replaces the earlier one.
- Tonnes are the net weight declared. Boxes are the commercial units of the lines declared in boxes.
- A shipment belongs to the ISO week (Monday to Sunday) of its shipment date. A season is made of whole weeks.
- Past seasons are compared week for week on the same calendar weeks a year before (week 34 against week 34), and only when our data covers them completely: a season the import history does not reach back to is not shown.
- Declarations keep arriving for about a month after shipment, so the latest 5 weeks are incomplete: the chart draws only a dashed estimate for them, where it is reliable. What is declared so far is shown only in grey, labelled "so far", and is never quoted as a week's figure.
- Where it is reliable, the chart shows an estimate for the incomplete weeks (dashed): the tonnage declared so far divided by the share of a week's final tonnage that is usually declared by then, measured on the last 26 complete weeks. A week that is less than about half in gets no estimate. Without enough history it comes from the cargo manifests, calibrated on the past year against the final declared tonnage, and is withheld when the calibration looks implausible. It is replaced by the declarations as they arrive. In the table and the latest-week card, the tonnage declared so far is shown in grey, labelled "so far", next to the estimate.
