Shipment Labels
Organize and filter shipments using custom color-coded labels.
2 min readOverview
Labels let you tag shipments with custom, color-coded categories to keep things organized. Use them to mark shipment status, flag priorities, group by customer, or anything else that fits your workflow.
Labels are shared across your organization — once a label is created, any team member can apply it to shipments.
Adding a Label to a Shipment
On any shipment page, you'll see the label area below the shipment header:
- Click the + Add label button
- Start typing to filter existing labels, or enter a new name
- To use an existing label, click it from the suggestions list
- To create a new label, type the name and pick a color from the palette, then click Create label
The label appears immediately on the shipment — no page reload needed.
Removing a Label
Click the × on any label chip to remove it from the shipment. This only removes the association — the label itself remains available for other shipments.
Color Palette
Labels come in 10 colors:
| Color | Hex |
|---|---|
| Gray | #6b7280 |
| Red | #ef4444 |
| Orange | #f97316 |
| Amber | #f59e0b |
| Green | #22c55e |
| Teal | #14b8a6 |
| Blue | #3b82f6 |
| Indigo | #6366f1 |
| Purple | #a855f7 |
| Pink | #ec4899 |
The color is chosen when creating a label and applies everywhere that label appears.
Bulk Labelling
You can add a label to multiple shipments at once from the shipments list:
- Select the shipments you want to label using the checkboxes
- Use the Add label bulk action
- Choose an existing label or create a new one
This is useful for tagging a batch of shipments that share a common trait — like a specific vessel, week, or customer.
Tips
- Labels are organization-wide — all members can see and use them
- Label names are unique per organization (case-insensitive)
- A shipment can have multiple labels
- Labels persist until removed — they won't disappear when shipment status changes
