An API is a component, not a product
Vizion's headline is "Get Real-Time Container Tracking and Monitor Global Trade", and what it sells is an API that pushes standardised container tracking events into a spreadsheet, an ERP, a TMS or your own software. Alongside it sits TradeView, a trade-intelligence platform. The buyers it names are logistics service providers, software companies, beneficial cargo owners, forwarders, 3PLs and drayage providers.
That is a good component and a real business — and it is a different purchase from a container visibility platform. An event feed is not a working day. Somebody still has to decide what a transshipment with no onward load event means, keep the supplier's paperwork attached to the box, and put the fruit's arrival next to what it was sold for. If you have a team who will build that, an API is the right purchase. If you were hoping to buy the finished thing, it is not.

When Vizion is the right purchase
Most of the time, if you are the kind of company they sell to.
- You are building a product of your own and need tracking events as an ingredient.
- You have an ERP or TMS that is already the system of record and just needs feeding.
- You have developers, and the surrounding workflow is solved by software you already run.
- You need raw, standardised events rather than somebody else's interpretation of them.
- You are a forwarder, 3PL or drayage provider — their named buyers, and not ours.

No card and no commitment while we are in beta. €10 per container once the beta ends — you pay for containers that ship, not for seats or a monthly subscription. ERP integration is a one-off from €2,000 plus maintenance from €50 a month, quoted against the system you already run. All prices exclude VAT.
Questions buyers ask
- Is Vizion a competitor?
- Not really. Vizion sells container tracking events over an API, to push into a spreadsheet, an ERP, a TMS or somebody's own software. Trackberry is the software at the other end. If you are comparing them directly, the real question is whether you want to build an application or use one.
- So who should buy Vizion?
- A team with developers and a system to feed. Their own site names logistics service providers, software companies, forwarders, 3PLs and drayage providers — organisations that already have somewhere for the events to go.
- Do you use Vizion?
- No. We work with our own tracking providers, and we do not name them: which carriers we can follow is published on our carriers page, and that is the part that affects you.
- We have a developer. Should we just build it?
- Tracking events are the easy half. The half that takes the time is everything after: reading a supplier's packing list, reconciling a declared box count, keeping the phytosanitary certificate with the container, deciding which of forty boxes is worth a phone call this morning. Buy the API if that part is already solved for you.
