Comparison

A GoComet alternative for fresh produce importers

GoComet is organised around what the freight costs. We are organised around what is inside the container. For most produce importers the second number is several times the first, and that decides the comparison.

A procurement platform that also tracks

The module names give it away: GoProcure for rates, GoTrack for shipments, GoInvoice for reconciliation, GoOrder and GoShipment for orders and execution — plus port congestion monitoring, carrier selection, rate intelligence, three-way invoice matching and carbon reporting. It calls itself an AI-native platform for global trade and sells to enterprise shippers in pharmaceuticals, automotive, chemicals and FMCG.

If your freight spend is large and negotiable, that is a real saving and we cannot touch it. But a reefer of avocados is worth a multiple of what it cost to move, and the money goes missing somewhere else entirely: in a packing list whose totals do not reconcile, in a certificate nobody can find, and in transit time that is shelf life. No amount of rate intelligence reaches any of it.

The freight bill, or the fruit

The job GoComet Trackberry
What it optimises Freight spend — rates, carrier selection, invoice accuracy. The value of the cargo when it lands.
Rate procurement GoProcure, with rate intelligence and carrier selection. Not offered. We do not quote or negotiate freight.
Invoice audit Three-way invoice matching. Not offered.
Documents from the grower Not described on its site. Packing lists, certificates, invoices and B/Ls read out of the inbox.

Who it is sized for Enterprise shippers, demo-and-quote. Importers who would rather start this afternoon.

When GoComet is the better investment

Whenever the freight bill is the number worth attacking.

  • You tender significant freight volume and want rate benchmarking and carrier selection.
  • Carrier invoices are going out wrong and three-way matching would pay for itself.
  • You need order management and shipment execution in the same platform as visibility.
  • Your cargo is not perishable, so shelf life never enters the calculation.
  • You are an enterprise shipper across several industries rather than a produce specialist.

What it costs

One of these is a conversation. The other is a number you can read now.

GoComet

Not published

No pricing figures on the site; engagement is through demo requests. The platform spans procurement, tracking and invoice audit, so a quote covers considerably more than visibility.

Trackberry

Free in beta, then €10 / container

No card and no commitment while we are in beta. €10 per container once the beta ends — you pay for containers that ship, not for seats or a monthly subscription. ERP integration is a one-off from €2,000 plus maintenance from €50 a month, quoted against the system you already run. All prices exclude VAT.

Questions buyers ask

What is GoComet built around?
The freight bill. Its modules are rate procurement, shipment tracking, invoice reconciliation, order management and shipment execution, with three-way invoice matching and rate intelligence among the named capabilities. Tracking is one component of a procurement platform.
Is that not useful to an importer?
It is, if freight spend is where your money leaks. For a lot of produce importers it is not: the fruit is worth several times the freight, and a container that lands three days late costs more in shelf life than the whole ocean leg.
Do you do rate procurement or invoice audit?
Neither. We do not quote freight, negotiate it, or reconcile a carrier invoice. If those are the jobs, GoComet does them and we do not.
Who does GoComet sell to?
Enterprise shippers, with pharmaceuticals, automotive, chemicals and FMCG named on its own site. Pricing is not published; the calls to action are demo requests.
